Went for my first time this week 2/18/26, lovely time, staff were friendly, snack options were decent and overall the rink was a nice size. Sad it will be closing this weekend. Will return next winter for sure. After the building contract is up would be nice to have a more central location in town, more signage turning into the fairgrounds and at the parking lot and a sign for which doors to enter on the building. Overall good addition to the community.

Good to have this in the area. We’ve had good times there. County could boost their social media and advertising of the venue a bit more.

We’ve had such a great experience at Skate Dona Ana at the Doña Ana County Fairgrounds! The staff is friendly and welcoming, and it’s such a fun seasonal activity for families in our area. I grew up ice skating in the Midwest, so having a rink here is extra special to me. Honestly, you have no idea how many times I’ve been to the rink since January 1! It’s been such a gift to have this option locally. That said, communication could really be improved. Twice I drove all the way out there and it was closed. When you’re loading kids in the car and heading to the fairgrounds, that’s frustrating. I think there are a few simple improvements that would make a big difference. Most of the clientele are millennials with kids, and that audience lives on Instagram and Facebook. Having a dedicated, ACTIVE Instagram account (separate from the county page) would really help with visibility, updates, and sharing photos. Social media is a huge part of how families decide what to do on weekends. It would also be extremely helpful to have a direct phone number listed. When you’re planning around kids, weather, or schedule changes, being able to quickly call with a question makes a big difference. The rink itself is such a fun addition to the community. Long-term, it would be amazing to see something like this located closer to town for easier access. Overall, we’re grateful it’s here and really appreciate the friendly team running it!

The only reason i put three is because i have scars from the blisters i got wearing the figure skates. I literally had a competition that day.

It's very difficult to understand what hours, if any, that this place is open for. On 2/1/26, the website said they open at 1, then your social media said your be open at 4, then the news said you'd open at 3. We had money we wanted to spend and we were excited to try a little ice skating this year. Expecting the consumer to do as much guesswork as you do is a little crazy. Maybe an ice skating rink in Georgia and one in New Mexico is kind of a bad business idea? I guess we will see in the coming years.

Looked up the date and times days in advance. Took the entire family there for New Year’s Day. Arrived at 11:50 for them to open at 12:00. Nobody ever showed up to open. Waited till 12:15 and decided to go to the gas station to get a coffee. Came back at 12:45 and there was still nobody there. Absolute disappointment. This company broke the hearts of 7 kids. Other reviews give similar stories. Shame.

Brought our friend group (2 adult couples) and all of our children ages 9yo-14yo (6 kids total) and we had a great experience until Andrea came out and started taking our skates bc the kids needed a break as this is majority of their first times. There IS NOT enough space and the tables here are so cheap that when only the adults sat on them, it felt like they were going to break! Everyone else here was nice but Andrea. However they are not prepared for the quantity of people here.

Had looked on the website for Christmas hours and was very pleased to see they were open 5pm to 10pm. Even called to make sure and was told “hours are on the website.” Being told this I obviously believed that they were going to be open 5pm to 10pm. We pulled up to three sheriff deputies telling everyone to turn around and go home stating that the rink was closed for the holiday. This honestly isn’t a good look on a business new to Las Cruces, being unreliable isn’t a good trait to have. Truly want to give this place a second chance but that’ll only work if they stick to schedule!!!!

We had my daughter’s birthday party there today! It was a blast! Everyone had so much fun and joy. The staff were amazing. I believe one of the young lady’s name I worked with was Adriene. She was very friendly. I wish I would have gotten the other 2 ladies’ name as they were very courteous and friendly. Everyone had a blast and from that party, one of our guests plans to book her daughter’s party in February. We plan to go back! This is one of the best things happening in Covington for outdoor winter fun!

Really fun place for the whole family. The rink is bigger than I expected. It is only 11 dollars to skate for 2 hours and this includes skate rental. You don't have to pay if you're just going there to watch. I definitely recommend this place, it was so much fun!

Me and my family come to the rink all the way from Jonesboro every year. It’s never over crowded and the price is great. Definitely recommend anyone to take the drive out. The kids will love roasting the smores over the fire.

Worst place to have a birthday party , spent almost 3 hundred dollars and they didn’t even provide the stuff they had on the website , won’t be going back !

Staff is rude and very strict with the skate trainers, if you have a young child that is a little taller than others don’t expect to be able to use the trainers! Went when it was not crowded and plenty of them sitting to be used.

We had a blast! We live in Florida, visiting family in the area. I was hesitant to go to this business based on other reviews. I'm so glad we went! I asked about using the assistance device for my son with special needs before paying. The owner was so gracious and helpful. Great rink & family friendly. Thanks for the wonderful family experience. We will be back next year!

A yearly, temporary ice rink with skaters of all ages and experience. Nice, spacious, plenty of rental skates. We had a fun 5-year old birthday party there and had lots of room and lots of fun. I only wish the space heaters had worked. The surrounding field was decorated for the Christmas season. We plan to go back.

The owner was rude. It was unpleasant from that standpoint. They got into their vehicle and sped through Legion Field (with children running around the field.) and through the parking lot. Prior to that they refused to turn on the heaters when it was 42° and everyone was freezing. They were rude to the customers and were giving kids the stink eye. The ice was also very jagged and not smooth, people kept hitting chunks and falling. I get that it’s the end of the season and may be stressful but this was not a pleasant experience.

Unfortunately, this review is completely inaccurate. Multiple heaters and a fire pit were lit throughout the day, and no one sped off angrily.

We all went to IceDays at Legion Field yesterday, there were 9 of us. Not only was it affordable, but the owner Jim was super polite & attentive as far as safety. The kids were able to take their time getting used to the Ice with the trainers and not have to stress the actions of other more experienced skaters because safety was a priority at this location. Everyone had a great time and were all skating without trainers by the end of the evening. The snack menu offered hot and cold drinks, and even has Ramen noodles as an option lol! My crowd loves Ramen so this was a plus for us! When the sun went down the lighting and music made this entire visit even more fun!!! I Highly recommend this as a date night, family night, birthday party, girls night!!! It’s a Great time just waiting on ya!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
